Smart Precinct NQ provides programs to schools and students with big ideas and ambitions, aimed to develop leadership, critical thinking and innovation skills.

Programs include:

We welcome Educators and Industries to get in contact with us to learn how to engage with Smart Precinct and embed programs that build innovation, design thinking and critical problem solving into programs. We also welcome individual students to join into our communities and attend our events.

Next Gen Change Makers Group

Next Gen Change Makers is a new community group designed for high school students with big ideas and ambitions explore the world of innovation and the technologies and principles to turn their big ideas into opportunities to shape the future.

The community and program are student, industry and educator lead and proudly supported by TAFE North Queensland in its first year. The community will meet monthly with activities including hackathon and innovation challenges, connecting with entrepreneurs, rapid prototyping using the maker space, excursions to learn about industry innovation in North Queensland and emerging and digital jobs of the future.

Smart Precinct NQ is currently calling for expressions of interest for educators and industry committee members to drive the activation of the Smart Precinct Nex Gen Change Makers. To register your interest please contact Miranda Mears at miranda@spnq.org
